It is one of those Diamonds in the rough you hope to find when visiting and I am glad we trusted the Yelp reviews.Headed to Alabama with family, significant other, or solo? Gulf Shores should be the first go-to place. I had the Fried Shrimp and Oyster basket and I learned I don't like Fried Oysters. They are known for their Po Boys so my daughter ordered a Shrimp and Crabcake I think? Po Boy and enjoyed it. Their "Pot" of the night was Jambalaya and it was delicious. The servers were very friendly and helpful, My daughter ordered the Caesar Salad and we learned they make their own dressing and it was very good. Even the inside looks kind of like a seedy bar but we chose to sit on the deck overlooking the bay and it was nice. They had "well used" furniture on the yard by the bar and a ton of stairs to climb. From the exterior it looks like a run down bar and normally I probably would have never chosen to eat there. My daughter noticed the Flying Harpoon got great ratings on Yelp so we decided to try it. We were looking for a good, local restaurant to eat at in the Gulf Shores area.
